The Pashnit BBQ

Saturday I got up early to ride with Cuzn Frank, his daughter Kim and her husband, Jerry. Met them in Angels Camp for breakfast. This is what I happened to see along the way, water buffalo, camels, old trucks and tractors. Cuzn Frank bought breakfast for all, he worked extra hard last weekend and made lots and lots and lots of extra money, yea Frank!!! On the way up Cuzn Frank asked me to check his rear tire, I forgot until we got up there, I checked, looks okay to me. Met a bunch of nice folks at the BBQ Pashnit put on, we left around 3:30pm and all went our seperate ways. I ended up riding for the last 20 miles or so in the rain just as darkness prevailed. Damned it sure makes you appreciate the dry weather.

Lots going on

There is a lot going on right now with us and our friends and relatives. In Mexico, Gary and Jon are right in the middle of "La Carrera Panamericana" I posted pics of them and their car earlier, but now the carnage has started, let's hope Team CBR can keep it clean, "Lucky" doesn't need any dents or scratches.

Went riding yesterday with Cuzn Frank, his daughter Kim (my neice), and her husband Jerry. Rode to Pashnit's BBQ, long ride for 1 day but we all had a good time. This was at breakfast at Rodz in Angels Camp. Look what I say on the way up to meet them that's water buffalo, camels, old trucks and tractors, only in Kalifornicatia!!! Cuzn Frank wanted me to check his rear tire, looks go to me, what do you think??? After this long day of riding I ended up riding in the rain the last 20 miles or so and the last 5 miles it was a real downpour. Thankfully the Goldwing moves most of the water around the rider and I was hardly wet at all. Sure makes you appreciate the sunny days though.

Meeting New Friends

Yesterday I took a chance and rode to Mt View to meet a guy who is an internet friend. Gary is building a car to race in La Carrera Panamericana. Gary and Jon are going to be the driver and navigator and the car, named "Lucky" looks like this. And this was also parked in Gary's lot. I didn't ask the story behind this but these little Cobra's are my wish and dream car, super impractical but who cares. I had some spare time so I tooled around and found a house that is very similar to the one I lived in in Mt. View my junior year of high school, as a matter of fact it may be the exact same house, I'll have to check with Mom. Gary has a blog at http://lacarrera2007.blogspot.com/ go check it out. The Big Fresno Fair

Karan, Jennifer, Erica and I all went to Fresno's County Fair. We ate a bunch of fried food, walked around, checked out the animals, the gallery, and the mid-way. Jennifer walked up to the very first game, the basketball toss, and won a stuffed animal, fairly large one at that, way to go JJ!!! Bet those folks couldn't believe their eyes when an 8 month pregnant women whooped em at their goofy game.

A ride weekend

Last weekend I hooked up with Cuzn Frank, the Killer Tomato and Smokin go to visit too. On friday we rode with Kim and Jerry and Lee and Kathy and went to Street Vibrations in Reno. Took a photo break overlooking Lake Tahoe. On Sunday Cuzn Frank and I rode hiway 49 Had a good breakfast in Drytown and coffee in Angels Camp. I found this cave on Hiway 49 on the way home.

Time to update again, we have landed and are on the Left Coast, the great Austrian state of Kaleeeeeefornia, home of the Terminator. Watching and listening to the political wind is making me whackier than ever. Just think about it, now Oprah, a black female TV personality, that spends millions of your dollars (ok, they aren't your dollars now, but they were before you gave them to her through the TV networks) on Africans instead of Americans, has endorsed and his backing a black muslim for President of the United States. Guess he'll change it to the United Muslim States of America. You heard it here first!!!

Made it to California today, end of trip tomorrow. We've seen a lot of this the last two days, you gotta know there's NASCAR racing in California this coming weekend.

New Mexico


We are in New Mexico now, this was taken of the wide open spaces in Texas. Today we should reach Arizona. Weather has been great and I-40 has had a lot of work done on it and is much smoother than it used to be.

Halfway there

These are the states we passed through so far. We are now in Oklahoma, getting ready to leave tomorrow or the next day. It rained like crazy just before we arrived but since then it has been hot, hot, hot!!! More pics to come.

Headed west

While camped in New Jersey, we made trips into New York where we sampled Nathan's Famous HotDogs, overpriced and give ya gas.

We also stopped at White Manna, they were listed as #13 on the top 20 hamburgers in america. However did that survey needs to have their taste buds examined. It was cute, it was unique, it was small, but surely wasn't anywhere near a top twenty burger. Oh well, at least we didn't get sick.

We went to Rutt's Hut also, famous for rippers, that's a hotdog that they deep-fry until it rips open. They were great, we'd eat there again.

We have left that area now and are slowly headed west. In Hershey, PA for a bit, guess we'll go check out chocolate town and the Renaissance fair.
