Holiday humor

It's a romantic full moon, when Pedro said, "Hey, mamacita, let's do Weeweechu."

Oh no, not now, let's look at the moon!" said Rosita.

Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I do Weeweechu. I love you and it's the perfect time," Pedro begged.

"But I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon." replied Rosita.

Please, corazoncito, just once, do Weeweechu with me."

Rosita looked at Pedro and said, "OK, one time, we'll do Weeweechu."

Pedro grabbed his guitar and they both sang.....

"Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year."

Turtle Beach

The 1st of Dec as come and gone, we didn't wind up heading to warmer climate, even though the weatherman said it would be warmer here, it isn't. Looks like we'll be hangin around this general area for awhile. At the least for a couple of months.

On the left coast

Yeah, here we are, on the left coast, land of the whacko's, as witnessed by the elections and the continuing protests. I'm beginning to think our decision to come west was a mistake, oh well, at least they have some good motorcycle riding roads. Come the 1st of December maybe I better head south to warmer climate.

Jake's Rib

We went to our favorite BBQ place in the area, Jake's Rib, tuesday is all you can eat night too, for only 8.99. Trouble is our appetites aren't big enough to even eat all the food that comes on the first plate, but it was great.

In the foreground is my ribeye and on the other side of the table is Karan's chicken fried steak.

One of my sides was this great chili.

Marti's Rock has a busy day

100_1949.jpg

This is how Marti's Rock travels.

100_1944.jpg

Marti's Rock saw a road sign about the Blue Hole, had to stop. That's Marti's Rock sitting under the sign.

100_1945.jpg

I'm thinking Marti's Rock is a hard head, he thought he could go swimming.

100_1946.jpg

Here he poses in front of the Blue Hole with Karan and Kaluha. LOL, that Kaluha is so funny and jealous too, look she stuck her tongue out for the pic.

100_1951.jpg

100_1954.jpg

There are fish in here too, goldfish and a few big carp. Guaranteed someone put them in there. That white square is made of pvc pipe and it is tied to the bottom of the Blue Hole, and you can see the bottom 81 feet down.

100_1958.jpg

Here we are parked out front.

Marti's Rock at 4 Corners

Here's the first pic of Marti's Rock.

Here's a close-up as Marti's Rock begins it's journey. Stay tuned for more to come.

Marti's Rock

Today we took a detour while traveling from Moab to Gallup. It was only about 24 miles but the road was rough, rougher than I remember. I also forgot that the Indian tribe that controls the area, either the Navajo or Ute, don't remember which, charge you to get to the marker that designates the US Governments official designation of 4 corners. Anyway I ponied up and ignored the sign that said I need a permit to gather rocks and grabbed a rock that had Marti's lifeforce all over it. Marti's Rock got pictured sitting on the official marker of 4 corners, the point at which the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah meet. Maybe I better take some more pics of Marti's Rock at famous places along the way. I'll post the pics soon.

Visiting Family in Forks

We arrived yesterday afternoon in Forks, Wa to visit Dave and Sharon and their family. Had a nice dinner last night at a local chinese restaurant. 100_1787.jpg 100_1788.jpg 100_1789.jpg

These are at the local timber museum/visitors center. Interesting not, seems an author wrote a series of books, Twilight being the beginning book, and used Forks as the fictional setting for it. It seems to be a vampire love story kind of book and now the whole town has vampire fever. Really funny.
