To the Jackass

To the Jackass that's been following my blog attempting to gather info to create problems, "Are you sure you know where I am?" maybe you best look to your back, I could already be there.

Visit with friends

Monday I decided to ride to Mecca and visit Sean and Louise who are camping not far away. We had a nice visit and it just confirms what a nice lifestyle fulltiming is and what great people you meet on the road.

Ridin the southland

This place was packed when I got there, food was excellent. Advantage to ridin alone, I got a parking place right up front and walked right in, counter service, I forgot how good it can be.

No more travel companion

It's official, I travel alone now, no more companion, has been this way for about a month or so.

Great Ride

Had a great ride yesterday with Cuzn Frank and our faithful sidekick Chelly. Made it up through the clouds to Mt Diablo but I don't think we got Chelly home in time for work, sorry little one, we'll do better in the future. I figure it was all my fault cause I made a wrong turn to Bethel Island. But guess what, those Harley riders found out that Goldwings can fly!!!

Weird Issue

We've been having a weird issue going on recently. The motorhome overheats sometimes, and then you let it cool and then it doesn't overheat. Spent the day in a repair facility, Delta Truck, they said it's fixed, but it wasn't, then they brought it in again, now the answer is, we'll we hope we fixed it. Good thing the place was a 24 hour shop as we were there from 6:30am to 10:00 pm. I guess we'll know when we next hit the road.

Tree House

This tree house is just down the road from where we are staying.

Al the Wop's

We ate lunch today at Al the Wops and the food was excellent as usual. This are pics we took last time we were there.

Guisti's

Decide to have lunch at another old haunt, Guisti's, also in the Delta. Simple menu but excellent food. Years ago I spent a whole lot more time at the bar than I did at the restaurant.

Wimpy's

We decided to do lunch on the Delta, back in the late 80's and early 90's I used to boat to this place for lunch. The Wimpy burger is still pretty good, but I couldn't talk em into giving me the burger today and I'd pay for it on tuesday. They said only Wimpy can get that deal and looking at his driver's license I didn't look like him.

Rainy day move

Our rainy day move caused this unpleasantness.

Rain

It's been pretty much raining on and off for the last week. Managed to visit Frank and Marti twice, had some fun at their local casino and did not leave money there. Getting ready to pack up as tomorrow will be moving day, think we'll park at a resort we know in Lodi, not firm yet but we'll see. Weather is supposed to improve starting tomorrow.

Kinda good news

The one tow company has agreed to pay for repair costs, it's the one that did the major damage, so most everything will be fixed soon. We have made arrangements to get the work done and if all goes well we should be done by the end of the month. This lousy cold is still hanging on, not much left but some coughing and hacking, hopefully we are seeing the end of this too.

Relocated

We finished for now at RMechanic and have relocated to Turtle Beach Resort. Seems like now the fight with everyone starts. Monaco decided that just because their warranty problem caused storage costs and milage costs, they don't cover that, time to get others involved I think, I'm going to try to contact higher up at Monaco before I go to Action Line and stuff like that. I'm waiting to hear from both of the tow companies that did damage to see if they are going to pay the repair facility direct. Both said they would get back to me yesterday, neither did. And that damned cold is still hangin on!!!

Parts are in

As we sit vegetating and nursing really bad colds the last part we were waiting for showed up. UPS was kinda surprise because they didn't expect anybody to be here on a saturday to get the package. Now we wait until Monday and hopefully we will be mostly repaired but ready to pull out. We still have some damage done by the tow company that needs to be resolved but I think we can get that done at a later date. We shall see how negotiations go on Monday.
