Here's a piece of pottery we picked up on the first dive of the morning. 400 years since it's seen the light of day.

Went diving on the Magruder for treasure from the Atocha which sank in 1622. It was a great day for diving, sunshine, warm, gentle ocean breeze. Captain Andy and crew were great and the trip out and back with Captain Chris was fun too. Hopefully I can go one more time before leaving Key West, if not, I'll be back later in the year.

This is the site we got at Sigsbee. We are front row with the water only 25' away. We also face west so we have the sunset out the front window.

Spyderman Adventures

Spyderman Adventures We have been on the road for a few weeks now. Took in the races at Talladega and Darlington. Stopped at Haulmark in Georgia to check on the progress of our trailer. In Florida now, took a refresher scuba course, did a couple of open water boat dives. Ready for some treasure diving now.

Known for what?

Every region we visit seems to be known for something. San Francisco as a tourist area, Napa for wine, San Diego for it's weather and military presence. In Lawton, Ok I think they are and always will be known for their buffets. Even though the locals may want to be known for Ft. Sill or perhaps the Wichita Mountains, it won't happen, buffets will be it for them. They have Korean buffets, Chinese buffets, Japenese buffets, Bar-B-Que buffets, basic American food buffets, and I bet one of these days they will get a soup and salad buffet. Not really a buffet type of food but they also have lots of "all you can eat catfish" joints. Diets don't stand a chance here.
